In Total 2,864 Drunk Driving Cases Reported in Three Days of Thailand New Year Seven Days Road Safety Campaign

The Thai Department of Probation reported in total 2,864 cases of drunk driving in Thailand in three days (December 29th – December 31st) of the New Year Seven Days Road Safety campaign (December 29th, 2023 – January 4th, 2024)

The number of the drunk driving cases are 97.75 percent of other cases in the probation campaign, being the overwhelming majority of cases.

The top three provinces with the highest number of drunk-driving cases in three days are ฺBangkok and Samut Prakan with 198 cases, followed by Nongkhai with 176 cases, and Nonthaburi with 150 cases.

On one day on New Year’s Eve (December 31st), the number was 2,247 drunk driving cases.

The Thai Department of Probation reported in total 515 cases of drunk driving in Thailand on the first day (December 29th) of the New Year Seven Days Road Safety campaign (December 29th, 2023 – January 4th, 2024).
